Scope
The switching process described on this page implements Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (the EU Data Act) and is available to customers established in the European Union or the European Economic Area. For other customers, data export is governed by their agreement with the Company. The contractual provisions are in Section 13 of our Terms of Service.
Switching Procedure
Switching is initiated by written request to [email protected]. The Company may verify that the request originates from an authorised representative of the customer before executing it, and then provides the applicable process details, formats and timelines.
Periods and Charges
For customers within scope, the notice period for switching is no more than two months, the switching transition is completed within 30 days, and exported data remains retrievable for at least 30 days, as set out in Section 13 of the Terms of Service. Until 12 January 2027, switching charges will not exceed the costs the Company directly incurs from the switching concerned; from 12 January 2027, switching is free of charge. A written confirmation of deletion is available on request.
Exportable Data Categories
Exportable data means the input and output data generated or co-generated by the customer's use of the Service, including relevant metadata. Categories:
- Contracts and instruments (leases, FX deals, loans and money market deals, guarantees and trade finance)
- Calculation schedules
- Vouchers and journal entries
- Cash forecasting data
- Customer-created reports
- Attachments and source documents
- Audit trails and approval history, where transferable
- Customer configurations (chart of accounts, entities, counterparties, bank accounts, user records)
- Relevant metadata
Excluded Categories
Exports do not include the Company's intellectual property, trade secrets, security related information, other customers' data, third-party licensed content (such as licensed market data), or internal support notes. These exclusions apply only to the extent they do not prevent an effective switch.
Formats and Data Structures
Structured data is provided as CSV or Excel (tabular files with header rows, one file per data category), per Section 13.5 of the Terms of Service. Reports are also exportable to PDF. Attachments and source documents are returned in their original file formats.
Known Technical Limitations
Exports reflect the data as at the time of extraction. The visual formatting and layout of in-product reports may not be fully preserved in tabular exports. Market data and other content licensed from third parties may be excluded where redistribution is not permitted.
Delivery Method
Exports are delivered as downloadable files through the Service or through another secure transfer method agreed with the customer.
Hosting Jurisdiction
Customer data is hosted in the European Union, in Finland, unless a different server location has been agreed in the Customer's Order Form (see Section 3.3 of the Terms of Service).
Protection Against Unlawful Third-Country Access
The Company maintains technical, organisational and contractual measures to prevent international transfer of, or third-country governmental access to, non-personal data held in the EU where such transfer or access would conflict with EU law or the law of a Member State. Requests by third-country authorities are reviewed for legal validity, and the Company challenges or narrows requests that lack a valid legal basis. Where legally permitted, the Company informs the customer of such a request before granting access.
