How we work

Get your data, accounting and processes right from the start.

We work through scope, structure and reporting with your team, then implement ZenTreasury around what you decide.

Start with the right setup.

Often the difficult part is not choosing the software. It is deciding how contracts should be structured, what belongs in scope, how the accounting should be organised and what month-end should look like. We work through those questions with your team first, and build the implementation around the answers.

Our team brings hands-on experience from corporate treasury, financial reporting and financial contract accounting. That is what we bring to the setup: not a configuration checklist, but practical experience of what tends to work in real finance and treasury processes.

What belongs in scope

Which contracts, which entities and which reporting standards apply where. Groups usually find that the boundary is less obvious than it looked.

How the portfolio is structured

How contracts, entities and cost centres map to each other, so the reporting you need comes out without rework every period.

What month-end looks like

Who does what and when, which figures are reviewed, and how the accounting hands off to your existing process.

...plenty of hands-on experience from the treasury world contributed to the choice.

Then we build it with your team.

Once the setup is agreed, the configuration follows from it. Most finance teams arrive with contracts spread across spreadsheets and a reporting date to hit, and getting from there to a clean first close is the work we do with you rather than handing over a login.

Structure and migrate the data

Your lease, loan and treasury contract data goes into templates, and we check it back for gaps and inconsistencies before it is imported. This is usually where the real work is.

Configure the accounting

Chart of accounts imported, accounting rules mapped, and voucher templates built to match what your ERP expects.

Set up exports and feeds

Accounting export configured, plus any applicable integrations and rate feeds enabled and tested against your systems.

Get the first close right

Training, then your first live reporting cycles run with a named contact alongside your team.

Start in days. Go live in weeks.

No lengthy technical setup. Your dedicated environment is provisioned automatically, typically within one to two days of confirming currencies, users and domain. From there, implementation follows five phases, and data readiness usually determines how quickly you go live.

Environment

1 to 2 days

You confirm active currencies, the historic rate start date, users and your domain name. Your dedicated environment is automatically provisioned and configured from those details.

Kick-off

1 day

Scope, responsibilities and a training date agreed, and the data templates handed to your team. Usually a single session.

Data migration

2 days to 4 weeks

Your lease, loan and treasury contract data is collected into the templates, checked back for gaps and inconsistencies, then imported. This is normally the main variable in the timeline.

Integrations and accounting

2 to 4 weeks

Accounting export setup, plus any applicable integrations and rate feeds enabled and tested, then your chart of accounts imported, accounting rules mapped and voucher templates built to match what your ERP expects. Runs alongside data migration rather than after it.

Go-live

Training, then live

Your team is trained and moves into production. A named contact sees you through your first live reporting cycles and stays with you afterwards, rather than handing you to a ticket queue.

Most customers are live within four to eight weeks. When contract data is already organised, it can be considerably faster. If you have a reporting date to hit, bring the date to the call and we will work back from it.

After go-live, you keep the same people.

A named contact sees you through your first live reporting cycles and stays with you afterwards. When something comes up two quarters later, you are not explaining your setup to a stranger.

Day to day, support runs through a portal with user guides and a ticketing system built into the product, so requests stay attached to your environment rather than scattered across inboxes.

Support is available in English and Finnish, on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00 Finnish time, excluding Finnish public holidays.

How that went for three customers.

Accountor Finland

Signed in June, reporting IFRS 16 in September.

Contract signed at the end of June, IFRS 16 entries reported with ZenTreasury in September, across the Finnish summer holidays.

The customer service was superb as well.

Adapteo Sweden

A new treasury unit, standing up against a deadline.

After demerging from Cramo, Adapteo had months to build a treasury function. Implementation went ahead without waiting on a time-consuming host-to-host bank connection.

ZenTreasury has been able to provide us with the service we were looking for.

ALEC UAE

Dubai portfolio, service from Helsinki.

ALEC worried that distance would mean slow support. The time difference turned out not to matter.

I was impressed with the knowledge. And I found very good customer service from the beginning. Everyone answered my questions very promptly.
